Dear Rotary Friends

 

Conferences are a time to celebrate and showcase our achievements; they are a time to hear inspirational addresses and to learn a little more about Rotary. They are also an important time of fun and fellowship for all Rotarians and their families.

 

Your conference in 2013 will be special; special because as you know it is our finale and we have forty years of incredible service to celebrate.

 

We like to go away for a weekend and we like to dress up and have fun so to ensure that everyone from your “Family of Rotary” including all past and present Rotarians, PDG’s and partners, partners of PDG’s, YEP & GSE Alumni can join us we are going to The Cube, a world class and State of the Art Conference Centre in Macarthur, far enough to be away but not too far so that everyone can be there.

 

The weekend will start for the Golfers at the Campbelltown Golf Club on Friday morning. For the non-golfers, start the Conference at Gledswood Winery for lunch and early registration before heading for your hotel and attending the Friday night plenary session at The Cube.

 

Saturday and Sunday we will conference in true District 9690 style with inspirational presentations, great Rotary content, entertainment and recognition of our Clubs’ achievements for our communities.

 

Our theme for Saturday night is “A Night of Stars”.  You are the stars, so let your imaginations run riot and come dressed to celebrate.

 

Macarthur is special to our country and steeped in history and folklore. Take a side trip and visit an historical home, enjoy a quiet moment at the Japanese Gardens or enjoy a coffee or tea after visiting the Arts Centre, a place of innovative and visual arts. Pamper yourselves or get some exercise at the Fitness Centre and for the Beer connoisseur sample the Boutique Brewery at Rydges Hotel.

 

There is accommodation to suit all tastes, from five star hotels such as Rydges, adjacent the centre, home-style B & B’s, Country Lodges, Caravan Parks and traditional Motels. Make it a weekend away from home and enjoy the hospitality.

 

We know how special you are to each other and of the friendships you have forged through years of working together and putting others above yourselves. We want this conference to be a special time in remembrance. We want you to have fun and we want to celebrate.
